School of Fashion Invites International Students to Enjoy Chinese Tradition Culture of Celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival Together

It's mid-autumn, and to let international students studying in a foreign country feel the atmosphere of Chinese traditional festivals, the School of Fashion of Wuhan Textile University organized the Mid-Autumn Festival Traditional Culture Experience Activity for International Students. Leaders, teachers and international students of the School of Fashion gathered to familiarize themselves with Chinese traditional culture, taste Chinese tea, enjoy traditional poetry and songs, and at the same time experience Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival tradition with the "Taste of China".


The event opened with the Mid-Autumn Festival culture, and Dean of Fashion School, Professor Tao Hui introduced the origin, customs, cultural inheritance and traditional culture of Chinese people around the world to celebrate the festival. Then Teacher, Dr. Shasha gave an introduction to Chinese tea culture, leading teachers and international students to taste Chinese tea and feel the tea culture together; Teacher Zhang Ni explained traditional Chinese poetry and recited the Chinese and English versions of "Song of Water"; Professor Tao Hui sang "Song of Water" and folklore song "Jasmine Flower", and the melodious singing made the scene full of enjoyment and applause, and the atmosphere was charming.

During the exchange and interaction session, Chinese and foreign teachers and students exchanged and interacted with each other enthusiastically, and the atmosphere was lively and cozy. The exchange and interactive activities promote international students' understanding and cognition of Chinese traditional culture, deepen the emotional connection between international students and traditional culture, and better understand Chinese traditional culture. Everyone said that this activity let them experience the warmth of home in a foreign country and feel the happiness brought by Chinese traditional culture.


The School of Fashion is the earliest college to enroll international students in our university. Since 2014, the School of Fashion started to accept international students from different countries, and the School of Fashion has cultivated a total of 98 international students. The Fashion Institute has always attached great importance to the education of international students, and while developing students' professional abilities, it also hopes that students will become future ambassadors of Chinese and foreign cultural exchanges.
